When you host a site on a server, it uses the server's shared IP address - an exclusive number which is used to detect a device connected to the World Wide Web. The domain name that you use for the site is for easy accessibility and convenience of the website visitors, but on a lower level, their browser connects to the IP of the server. Considering that there're a lot more sites than IP addresses, shared website hosting servers use the very same IP for a number of websites even in case they belong to separate users. While this doesn't affect the site performance directly, using a dedicated IP may slightly increase the loading speed of a website, providing it better positions in search engine results. Such an IP is needed for the setup of an SSL certificate as well, so when you wish to protect the payment or login info that your website visitors enter, you will need an IP alongside the SSL.

Dedicated IP Address in Hosting

When you use any of our hosting plans, you will be able to add a dedicated IP to your account in no time and assign it to any domain or subdomain with no more than a few clicks. This is valid whichever data center you've chosen for your account throughout the signup process, thus it's possible to use this feature in our US, UK and AU facilities. This way, you can have a dedicated IP for an electronic commerce website, for example, whereas a forum attached to it can use the server's shared IP as you can modify each domain or subdomain separately through the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia Control Panel. If you'd like a dedicated IP for an SSL certificate and you obtain the SSL from our company, you are able to use the auto-configuration instrument, that will assign an IP and install the SSL automatically for the site where you want to use them.

Dedicated IP Address in Semi-dedicated Servers

With just a few clicks inside your Hepsia Control Panel, you will be able to add one or several dedicated IP addresses to your semi-dedicated server and assign them to your websites. The Hosted Domains section of Hepsia will allow you to find the available IPs and to monitor those that are in use with ease. Provided you want to obtain a new IP for an SSL certificate, you can use the auto-configuration function, which is available in our SSL order wizard. When you activate this feature, you will not need to do anything after you submit your order because our system will request a dedicated IP, assign it to the domain or subdomain in question, then add the SSL certificate - all of this automatically and without the need of any action on your end. That way, you will be able to secure the information that visitors submit on your site even if you don't have any previous experience with such matters.

Dedicated IP Address in VPS Servers

All of the VPS plans that we provide come with a dedicated IP, so you won't share the IP with some other customer with another account on the same server. In case you choose a hosting Control Panel for the server throughout the registration process, you'll receive one more dedicated IP too and you can use it for any content which you host on the VPS - an Internet site, an app, an SSL certificate, a VOIP server, etc. If you need more IPs, you can order them as an additional upgrade using your billing Control Panel and they will be assigned to your server within a matter of minutes. You will be able to manage your IPs without any difficulty through your web hosting Control Panel and the virtualization admin panel that you'll get to manage the virtual machine.

Dedicated IP Address in Dedicated Servers

Considering that it's possible to run almost anything on a dedicated server, all of our packages feature three dedicated IP addresses included by default. In case you need to launch some server software or to set up an SSL certificate for a site that you host on the machine, you can use the IPs which we provide without charge. You may also register child name servers with one or two of the IPs for any domain name that you've registered with our company or anywhere else and employ them to point other domains to the dedicated server. When you run a web hosting company, for example, the aforementioned option will contribute to your credibility as a standalone provider. In case you need more IP addresses than the three the packages provide you with, you're able to get additional ones in increments of 3 either during the registration process or from your billing Control Panel any time.
